Aspocomp to participate in Thar PCB company and co-operate with Canadian PCB producer

Aspocomp has purchased a 12.5 % share of P.C.B. Center (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the second biggest printed circuit board (PCB) company in Thailand. As part of the agreement Aspocomp has also planned to further invest in P.C.B. Center in the near future for its expansion.

P.C.B. Center is a quality producer of 2 to 6 layer PCBs, with QS-9000 and ISO-9002 certifications. The factory is located in the central part of Thailand. The total production area of the factory is 10 000 square meters and it has 1 100 employees. The net sales of P.C.B. Center in 1999 were approximately USD 34 million and they will approach USD 40 million in 2000.

As a result of the acquisition Aspocomp will be able to offer its customers even more competitive services with a continued focus on high technology at its European production units.

Aspocomp has also signed a co-operation agreement with the Canadian company Dynamic & Proto, which concentrates on prototype production and fast deliveries. The agreement enables Aspocomp to provide its customers’ product development units in North-America with Dynamic & Proto’s services and Dynamic & Proto to provide its customers with Aspocomp’s high-tech PCBs in larger volumes.
